| HALFTIME |
|
Halftime during a game is a time for players to rest
and for coaches to adjust and make changes to their game plan for the second half of the game. There is also a halftime for the season. The halftime pause for the 2007 season began after the Franken game and ends today with the game against Wiesbaden. The Juli pause is longer this year because the National Team is playing in a tournament in Japan. Two Cowboy players were nominated to the National Team : Stephan Seidel and Uli Winkler. Uli, who played in NFL Europa, will not play with the National Team for an even bigger reason : He will have an opportunity in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans. Everyone in the Cowboys organization is proud of these players. During the pause the players had a long rest, no practice for 2 ½ weeks. They have worked hard in the first half of the season, practice and games every week and weekend since April. The pause was a good opportunity for the players to spend more time with their families and friends, and rest mentally and physically in preparation for the second half of the season. During the pause the coaches have an opportunity to evaluate in more detail players performance in the fist half of the season, and plan our strategy for teams we will play for a second time in the second half of the season. The success and achievement of the Cowboys in the first half has been positive in everyway. We are in first place. We have an opportunity to win the 2 League and play in the relegation. We have had no serious injuries. The Cowboys fans have something to cheer for. All of us who are part of the Cowboys are looking forward to a second half of the season that is as successful as the first half has been. |
